Frequently asked questions

What is a roof lease or rooftop solar agreement?

A rooftop solar agreement allows Peak Energy to install and operate a solar system on your rooftop. We pay you for the use of the space or share commercial value depending on the structure.

What buildings are usually suitable?

Buildings with large, unobstructed rooftops in good structural condition. This includes factories, warehouses, logistics sites, retail buildings, and commercial properties. Suitability depends on site review.

Is this only relevant for factories?

No. This is relevant for any company with suitable rooftop space, including warehouses, retail sites, logistics centers, commercial buildings, and industrial properties.

Do we need to invest capex?

No. Peak Energy funds, installs, owns, operates, and maintains the system. You receive commercial value without deploying any capital.

Do we have to operate or maintain the system?

No. Peak Energy handles all operations and maintenance for the life of the agreement. You do not need to manage or maintain the system.

Will this disrupt our operations?

Installation is planned to minimize disruption. Most work is done on the roof. We coordinate with your team to ensure operations continue with minimal impact.

What information do you need for an initial review?

We need basic information about your building type, location, roof size, roof condition, and whether you own or control the property. This allows us to conduct an initial review.

Do we need to own the building?

Not always. What matters is whether you own the roof or have the right to control and grant access to it. If the property is leased or shared, we would need to understand the approval structure first.

How long does the agreement usually run?

These agreements are typically long term, because the solar system is funded and operated over many years. The exact term depends on the site and contract structure. This is discussed early, not hidden at the end.
