Strategic Reasons for Viewing Haenam as a Key Domestic Solar Power Hub

The resident-participation solar power project in Haenamis not merely a local development initiative; it serves as a test bed for the nation’s energy transition and a long-term revenue model. Peak Energy has designated Haenam as a key domestic solar power hub and is formulating an investment strategy with a 20- to 30-year outlook, based on the region’s abundant solar radiation, reclaimed land, and proximity to areas of high energy demand.

Park Jae-pil (pictured), CEO of Peak Energy Korea, stated in an interview with Haenam newspaper on the 27th, “Solar power projects are not simply about building power plants; they are long-term projects that will accompany residents for 20 to 30 years,” adding, “We will build trust with the local community and create a business model that allows residents to experience tangible benefits.”

CEO Park cited Peak Energy’s long-term project execution capabilities and stability as its key strengths.
